The Friends group carried out online and physical public consultations and compiled summaries of public opinion, in particular future ideas for use of the old Bowling Pavilion, safety priorities on the Rec and particular repairs within the play areas. Many new families joined us to find out more and lend their support.
We combined the AGM with a tea party on the grass, face and hair painting for the younger children, ball games on the lawn and cakes and refreshments supplied by our volunteers. Families enjoyed an afternoon of getting to know their neighbours and making new friends, the just the kind of community feel our Friends group is all about.
