On 16th June 2019, the brilliant Furzedown Community Network volunteers pulled out all the stops to bring us yet another Big Day Out on the Rec. This annual event has been taking place for more than a decade and every year grows in popularity. Taking place in June, the weather is sometimes is beautifully summery and sometimes not, the enthusiasm and smiles can always be relied upon!
This family event involves an enormous amount of work in planning and in the execution on the day. The FCN fundraise year round to put on this free event for the whole community to come together for an afternoon of fun and games, stalls, competitions and music. Families gather together for picnics on the grass in front of the stage to watch dance groups and live music performances into the early evening.
